Thanks Sandy and Mikael for this site, such a great idea! I have a question for those who have used Helleborus. Helixor makes Helleborus niger and Uriel makes Helleborus planta tota, and I believe both come in 12x and 4x. However, Helixor's is roughly 3 times as expensive. I would like to try it with a few of my cancer patients, but am wondering which one to chose / recommend. If you've had experience with either or ideally with both, I'd love to hear about it!

I have started using medicinal mushrooms on myself and with a number of my patients to promote general health and longevity. There is a strong tradition of their use within TCM (or CCM for those that went to NUNM). I would like to initiate discussion within an anthroposophical extended medicine (AEM) framework. AEM pharmacopoeia does not much comment on MM. The mushroom most studied is agaricus muscarinic used for nervous system disorders. Although that is a MM, it is a much more specific medical that treats advanced pathology.

The mushrooms I am more curious about are reishi, shiitake, maitake, lions mane, etc, the so called mushroom tonics which are not traditional used in AEM. My interest is in supporting patients with more general health tonics, something a little more physical. AEM pharmacopeia is heavily homeopathic. How can we support patients day-to-day longterm wellness? I think these tonic mushrooms may play a role.

So let's start as all AEM discussion do with Mr. Steiner. He said somewhere (trust me) that mushroom are treating disorders from the moon evolution. For those not familiar with cosmic history, the present day earth went through a Saturn evolution, sun evolution, and moon evolution before arriving at its current earth phase. During the moon evolution, humans were developing their current day etheric body. So I think from a four phase perspective mushrooms are primarily focusing on etheric development. This makes intuitive sense as mushrooms' bodies are spongy and fleshy reflecting an etheric qualities. We also know biologically that mushrooms are scavengers breaking down detritus and elevating it back to life - elevating the physical back into the etheric realm.

From a threefold perspective, it is notable that they lack a rhythmic middle. They transition from the mycelium underground (nervous pole straight to a fleshy stalk and bulb (metabolic pole). The metabolic pole starts earlier than it would in a typical plant, beginning while it is still in the earth. From a threefold perspective the substance has a strong terrestrial quality, driving the metabolic pole into the earth.

It is interesting to imagine mushrooms in contrast to a substance like mistletoe with its aerial cosmic qualities. It is interesting because both mushrooms and mistletoe are often used in oncology. One may consider mushrooms behaving similarly to helleborus another very fleshy terrestrial plant that swiftly transitions from the nervous pole to metabolic with very little rhythmic intermediary.

In conclusion: I think mushrooms are great for building the etheric body especially in cases where parts of the body are not integrated. They can help with those who are lacking grounding suffering from luciferian pulls. Lastly, they can serve as a useful counterbalance to mistletoe in oncology.

I would be curious if it is necessary to separate mushroom administration from mistletoe in oncology cases. It is recommended to take helleborus and mistletoe 24 hours apart in cancer patients.

I welcome any insights from others adding to this investigation.
